The Libyan Arabian horse breeders society was established by Decision of the General People’s Committee for Animal Wealth No. 4 of 1999 and Law No. 19 of 2007 relating to the reorganization of civil Society in order to preserve the purebred Arabian horses and to develop their breeds. as a national treasure and a real Arab cultural heritage. The Society was recognized and granted membership by the Arabian Horse Organization “WAHO” and the Society became the sole legal representative representing breeders and owners of purebred Arabian horses locally and internationally. The Society directly supervises the documentation of the purebred Arabian horse lineage by withdrawing samples and analyzing them in the laboratory located in the Kingdom of Morocco according to the contract concluded between them, as well as directly supervising the withdrawal of samples and characterization by veterinarians Accredited by the management of the Society, it also organizes beauty horse festivals and sponsors some races for race tracks, and not forgetting
the development of breeds by bringing straws of frozen semen from several international stallions to raise the level of purebred Arabian horses in Libya.
